We are excited to be working with GSMA mWomen on a new Open Innovaiton challenge. The GSMA mWomen Design Challenge: Redefining the User Experience is to meet the needs of resource-poor women by improving the smartphone user experience.
Designers, programmers and innovators of all kinds are invited to consider the user experience of resource-poor women to reimagine a smartphone’s core user interface to be more intuitive and accessible. The more a woman can use her phone, the more value she’ll be able to realize from the pre-installed apps, widgets, and other functionality that can enhance her and her family’s lives.
The challenge was launched at this year's Social Good Summit in New York where U.S. Agency for International Development Chief Innovation Officer and and Senior Counselor Maura O’Neill, Qtel Group CEO Dr. Nasser Marafih, Australian Agency for International Development Assistant Director General Jenny Da Rin and GSMA Development Fund Managing Director Chris Locke have announced that the Challenge is now open for entries.
The deadline for online submissions is 11:59PM GMT, Friday, 14 December, 2012
